Register now to join IJ4EU’s annual conference on cross-border investigative journalism. This year’s event is hosted by the iMEdD International Journalism Forum in Athens.

We are pleased to announce that registration for UNCOVERED 2024, the annual conference of the Investigative Journalism for Europe (IJ4EU) programme, is now open. Don’t miss your chance to secure a spot as tickets are limited and going fast.

Joining forces with iMEdD

Back for a fifth year, IJ4EU’s UNCOVERED Conference will join forces with Incubator for Media Education and Development (iMEdD). UNCOVERED 2024 will take place as part of iMEdD’s International Journalism Forum, a three-day gathering of journalists exploring topics ranging from press freedom and artificial intelligence to data journalism and climate reporting.

When?

The UNCOVERED Conference is set for 25-26 September, kicking off just a day before the International Journalism Forum, which runs from 26-28 September.

Where?

Both UNCOVERED and the International Journalism Forum will be held in the industrial chic of Athens’s Peiraios 260 venue.

Don’t forget to register for both events

The first day of UNCOVERED is exclusive to registered conference guests, including the latest IJ4EU grantees, fostering a candid exchange of insights from cross-border collaborations. Register for UNCOVERED here.

The second day welcomes attendees of both UNCOVERED and the International Journalism Forum. A separate registration to the International Journalism Forum is required for guests wishing to attend both the second day of UNCOVERED on 26 September and the rest of the International Journalism Forum on 27-28 September. Both events are free to attend. You can register to the International Journalism Forum here.

IJ4EU Impact Award

Celebrating cross-border investigative journalism in Europe

The UNCOVERED Conference will close with an awards ceremony on September 26 for winners of the IJ4EU Impact Award 2024. Like the conference, the awards ceremony will be hosted by the iMEdD International Journalism Forum.

With a pot of cash prizes totalling €15,000, the annual awards celebrate excellence in investigative journalism carried out by teams collaborating across borders in Europe. Both the UNCOVERED Conference and the award are managed by the European Centre for Press and Media Freedom (ECPMF), a partner in the IJ4EU consortium.
