IJ4EU-supported journalists can benefit from travel grants to participate in our annual conference.
- Grants restricted to current IJ4EU grantees
- Each team eligible for at least €740
- Deadline for applications: August 15, 2024
The Investigative Journalism for Europe fund invites grantees to apply for financial assistance to attend the IJ4EU UNCOVERED Conference in Athens in late September 2024.
Grants of at least €740 are available to each investigative team currently supported by IJ4EU. The money is intended to help cover travel and accommodation costs for one or more members.
The deadline for applications is August 15, 2024 at 23:59 CEST.
Organised by the European Centre for Press and Media Freedom, UNCOVERED will be hosted by the Incubator for Media Education and Development (iMEdD) in the industrial chic of Athens’s Peiraios 260 venue.
The conference will dovetail with iMEdD’s International Journalism Forum, which will take place 26-28 September 2024 in the same complex.
Kicking off a day before the International Journalism Forum, UNCOVERED will provide a safe space for grantees to share lessons learnt from working on complex cross-border collaborations.
Day two of UNCOVERED will allow grantees to rub shoulders with the iMEdD community as the two events merge, with UNCOVERED sessions open to International Journalism Forum attendees and vice versa.
UNCOVERED will conclude with an awards ceremony on September 26 for winners of the IJ4EU Impact Award 2024.
Grantees who would then like to attend the second and third days of the Forum — September 27 and 28 — need to register separately for the iMEdD event.
Team leaders of IJ4EU-supported investigations are invited to apply for travel grants by filling out this short form.
