During this workshop, ECPMF’s senior legal advisor, Flutura Kusari, will explore the main legal risks that journalists should be aware of and how to minimise them when conducting investigative journalism. She will provide an overview of the major legal dangers faced by journalists across Europe, including Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation (SLAPPs), and offer practical advice on what to do if sued and where to find information on available financial support for journalists.
Participants will have the possibility to interact throughout the workshop and ask questions related to their own investigations.
