From climate stories with a twist to tips on unlocking algorithms and undercover reporting, IJ4EU’s annual conference promises a mix of debates and workshops for investigative journalists interested in cross-border collaboration.

Taking place in Athens on September 25 and 26, UNCOVERED 2024 will bring together grantees from the latest round of IJ4EU funding with experts in watchdog reporting to share insights and experiences.

This year’s UNCOVERED Conference will be hosted by the iMEdD International Journalism Forum in the industrial chic of Athens’s Peiraios 260 venue.

About UNCOVERED

IJ4EU’s UNCOVERED Conference is an opportunity to showcase cross-border investigative journalism in Europe and to discuss the challenges faced by those working to shine a light on stories affecting millions across the continent and beyond.

The conference is organised by the European Centre for Press and Media Freedom, together with IJ4EU consortium partners the International Press Institute, the European Journalism Centre and Arena for Journalism in Europe.

The conference will close with a ceremony unveiling winners of the IJ4EU Impact Award 2024, which honours excellence in cross-border investigative reporting.
